Dr. Pulane Hannah Koosaletse-Mswela is a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Science at the University of Botswana and a researcher in environmental quality, waste management, and resource recovery under the One Health principle within the context of climate change and sustainable development. Her work further centres on climate resilience, sustainable waste management systems, water quality monitoring, and circular economy innovations that support low-carbon development pathways and the translation of environmental science into policy and practice.
She currently serves as Secretary General of the Botswana Academy of Science and is the inaugural Vice Chair of the OWSD Botswana National Chapter, where she actively advances science policy engagement, research excellence, and gender equality in STEM.
Within the RECLAIM project, Dr. Pulane serves as the University of Botswana Partner Coordinator and contributes to integrating pollution risk assessment into climate education and project outputs. She leads the coordination of institutional activities, supports the implementation of climate education and capacity-building initiatives, and facilitates collaboration between academia, industry, and policy stakeholders.
