A currently Botswana-based sociologist and social crisis related policy researcher. Recently active as a policy commentator addressing prevalent crises. The focus mostly falls on gender, public health, and social policy.
Additionally, an AFRIAK Fellow under the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa. I hold a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Botswana. My research focuses on health systems, governance, and the integration of Indigenous knowledge systems into contemporary policy and clinical practice.
My current AFRIAK fellowship project investigates pathways for harmonizing Indigenous healing systems with clinical frameworks in Africa. I have contributed to academic research across universities and NGOs, supported public health studies in Botswana, and actively engage in public scholarship through national television and radio platforms, offering sociological insights.
As an AFRIAK Fellow, I am motivated by strengthening African-centered epistemologies and advancing locally grounded, evidence-based solutions. Ultimately I believe that these hold the potential to effectively respond to the continent’s health and governance challenges.
