Dr. Timben Marcline Tebo is a Cameroonian education researcher, teacher educator, and practitioner with extensive experience in foundational literacy and numeracy, inclusive education, and teacher professional development. She is currently a teacher at the Government Bilingual Teacher Training College (GBTTC) Bamenda and a Research Fellow at eBASE Africa, where she contributes to the design, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based education interventions.
Her professional focus includes early-grade mathematics education, mastery learning, metacognition and self-regulated learning, digital learning, and the use of artificial intelligence to strengthen teachers’ instructional practices. Dr. Tebo has led and supported multiple large-scale projects across Cameroon and East Africa, working closely with teachers, school leaders, ministries of education, and development partners. She is also the author of practical teacher guides on mastery learning and metacognition aligned with primary school curricula.
As an AFRIAK Fellow, Dr. Timben is motivated by a strong commitment to bridging research, policy, and classroom practice. Her vision is to contribute to locally grounded, data-informed solutions that improve learning outcomes and equity in African education systems.
